Patson Daka scoops UEFA Europa league player of the week

Zambia national team forward, Patson Daka has been voted as the player of the week for matchday 3 of the UEFA Europa League following his spectacular performance for Leicester City against Spartak Moscow which saw him score four goals including a record-breaking nine-minute hat-trick.

Daka beat West Ham defender Issa Diop, Napoli midfielder Lorenzo Insigne, and Lyon forward and leading top goalscorer of the tournament so far, Took Ekambi.

With four goals, Daka became Leicester City’s joint-highest goalscorer in European competition. He did so in front of 25 traveling supporters, with a number of them there to support their Zambian hero.

The 23-year- old also put his name in the record books after his haul on Wednesday as the first Leicester City player to score four goals in a game since Derek Hines in 1958

The 2017 CAF young player of the year and his City teammates will next be in action against Brentford on Sunday afternoon, with the game due to kick off at 3 pm.

  2. Like I said in my last week’s post, “Goals will start raining torrentially” after you scored against Manchester United, my words have come true. In less than 5 days goals rained torrentially in Jesus Christ’s name. Now you have earned your first accolade in the Premier League. My boy keep the fire burning. Stay focused. And like I advised in one of my earlier posts NEVER GO FOR ANY KIND OF TATTOOS. TAKE HEED MY BOY. Many more good things are on their way for you. I Wish bright light for your friends outside Zambia as well.
