Lumwana Radiants have appointed former Zambia national team head coach Patrick ‘Big Pa’ Phiri as their new head coach the ZamFoot Crew understands.
The former Nakambala Leopards boss was introduced to the players on Monday morning a source close to the club told the ZamFoot Crew.
“Yes Coach Patrick Phiri is the new head coach and he was introduced to the players this morning (Monday morning ) and has since started his work,” he said.
The 63-year-old trainer takes over from Chewe Mulenga who has fired a few days ago. Phiri last coached Lusaka dynamos before leaving them towards the end of the 2019 transitional Superleague.
Lumwana Radiants currently sit on 15th place with four points from six games and just won their first game last Saturday beating KYSA 3-0. Phiri’s first assignment will be on Thursday, October 24th away at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium against Buildcon.
