The Zambia Women’s National Team will have a European camp in June as their final part of preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
FAZ President Andrew Kamanga confirmed the development during a State dinner for the Copper Queens held at TaJ Pamodzi Hotel.
“Our preparations for the World Cup started last year in November when the team went to Colombia. The team also went to Turkey and next week the team is going to South Korea. In June we will have an international training camp in Spain and we have already lined up very exciting friendly games with top teams in the World,” Kamanga said.
The Copper Queens will be heading to South Korea on 4th April for two international friendly matches with that country.
This is a continuation of their preparations for the global showpiece that saw them play Colombia in two matches last November before travelling to Turkey for the Alanya Tournament last month.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Copper Queens will face Switzerland and Germany while in Spain.
Another match with co-hosts Australia could be confirmed soon as the two teams are still engaging each other over the possibility.
Zambia are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica. The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand.
Do the same for men’s team too.
I thought we are in the same group with Spain why not in a different European country? Twelen’ganyepo

How can they camp in Spain when Spain is her opponent.a useless camping.
Hopelessness! Wasting resources.
Pick any other neutral place. Apa we are simply playing in your enemy’s hands. So tu Spain will just go and spy and watch all your tuma secrets even before meeting them on the pitch.
At times o wonder who makes these arrangements….
Mark my words:
SO YOU WILL SOON HEAR THAT THE U17 Boys to play against ZANACO & MALAWI under 17 national team in preparation for Afcon where they will face NIGERIA, SA & MORROCCO…
Let them camp somewhere in England not in Spain
[…] Kamanga also revealed that the COSAFA Champions will camp in Germany as opposed to Spain as earlier reported. […]
