Zambia goalkeeper Hazel Nali has joined Saudi Arabian women’s top-flight side Al Taraji Ladies ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Al Taraji secured promotion to the Saudi Women’s Premier League after winning the second-tier championship last season.
Nali becomes the latest Zambia international to move to the rapidly growing Saudi women’s game, with fellow Copper Queens player Xiomara Mapepa having been part of Al Taraji’s promotion-winning squad last season.
Mapepa contributed two goals and two assists in four appearances during the campaign.
Nali, 28, has been on the books of ZESCO Ndola Girls since July 2025 after joining the club on a two-year loan from Zambia Army side Green Buffaloes Women Football Club. She helped them win the ZPL Women’s Super League and finishing second at the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers.
The move to Saudi Arabia marks a new chapter for Nali after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The goalkeeper suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in 2023 and subsequently underwent surgery, ruling her out of Zambia’s preparations for the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup.
Nali has since worked her way back into competitive football and will now continue her career in Saudi Arabia as Al Taraji prepare for their first season in the country’s top flight.
The Saudi Women’s Premier League has attracted an increasing number of African players in recent seasons as the women’s game continues to expand in the country.
