Chipolopolo winger Lubambo Musonda will miss Sunday’s crucial 2023 Ivory Coast AFCON qualifier against Lesotho in Johannesburg.
The Denmark based winger suffered a hamstring injury on Thursday during the Chipolopolo Boys 3-1 win over Likuena.
Musonda was withdrawn just 13 minutes into the match and replaced with two goal hero Lameck Banda.
Chipolopolo physiotherapist Hensley Chilimboyi revealed that Lubambo suffered a contusion in his left hamstring.

“His treatment and further investigation will be done in due course for now will do investigations such as MRI to determine the extent.”
Zambia will be hoping to complete a double over Lesotho having recorded an impressive 3-1 comeback win.
The match will take place at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg at 15:00 hours.
Zambia are currently second in group H with six points and just a point adrift of log leaders, Ivory Coast.
