Rodrick Kabwe to captain Chipolopolo in Johannesburg

Sekhukhune United midfielder cum defender Rodrick Kabwe will captain the Zambia National Team this afternoon when they lock horns with Lesotho.

Kabwe took over the armband from Lubambo Musonda on Thursday after the Danish based winger suffered a contusion in his left hamstring just 13 minutes into the match.

Musonda has since been ruled out of the match due to the injury.

Avram Grant has confirmed that he will continue with his captains for this assignment and maybe reassess later on.

“I decided not to change the captain. At the moment the same captains will continue and then I will think about it,” Grant said.

Zambia will be hoping to complete a double over Lesotho having recorded an impressive 3-1 comeback win.

The match will take place at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg at 15:00 hours.

Zambia are currently second in group H with six points and just a point adrift of log leaders, Ivory Coast.
