Power Dynamos coach Osward Mutapa Jnr has said the result against Al Merriekh was disappointing but believes his side will learn from it.
The Zambian Champions have bowed out of the CAF Champions League following Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Al Merriekh.
“These are the type of games. We knew it is a knockout. Football is for the brave. Today we are out, tomorrow we set up to show that we are champions.”
“Yes, we are out. It is a bitter pill to swallow because we needed to win today’s game to progress. We knew their strengths, but we also played to our own strengths,”
“We haven’t scored over the two legs. At this stage of the competition, if you don’t score, you have problems, and that is what killed us in this game,”
“I was talking to the players and telling them that we have failed ourselves. We need to build from where we left off last season. But this is football,”
“Yes, we are out. Are we going to start crying? No. We have to reflect. A championship team is seen when they are down and how they react after being eliminated from the Champions League.
