Al Merriekh coach Darko Novic has expressed interest in signing Power Dynamos players to beef up his squad.
The Sudanese giants dumped the Zambian Champions out of the CAF Champions League on Saturday via a 2-0 aggregate victory.
In a post match interview, Novic also highlighted that the Kitwe giants’ forwards should improve in the final third.
“Power Dynamos are a good team with quality players, and I would love to get one or two players to beef up my Sudanese squad,” he said.
Chipolopolo midfielder Obinno Chisala is on the books of Al Merriekh.
Red Arrows striker Ricky Banda spent a 6-month loan last year.
The most successful Zambian at the club was Jonas Sakuwaha in 2011
Back to their 1-0 victory over Power Dynamos in Ndola, Novic was satisfied with how his players played.
“We prepared very well for the two legs, and we were dedicated and focused. Despite encountering one or two challenges during our preparations, the important thing is that we have managed to qualify for the group stage.
“Power Dynamos didn’t score in the two legs, and last season they didn’t score enough in the group stage. That’s their biggest problem as a team,”
