Al Merreikh secured a place in the second round of the CAF Champions League after edging Power Dynamos 1-0 in Ndola on Saturday.
The Sudanese giants entered the second leg with a 1-0 advantage and produced another disciplined performance to complete a 2-0 aggregate victory.
Power Dynamos pushed for a response on home soil but struggled to find a way through the experienced Al Merreikh defence.
After a goalless first half, Feno Hasin broke the deadlock in the second half with the decisive goal, putting Al Merreikh firmly in control of the tie.
The result ended Power Dynamos’ CAF Champions League campaign at the first hurdle, while Al Merreikh progressed to the second round with a 2-0 aggregate win.
