Players Abroad: Frankie Musonda and Kalunga on target

Club football took centre stage over the weekend around the world and a number of Zambian players were in action. 

Frankie Chisenga Musonda and Kenneth Kalunga scored for their respective clubs where Aime Mabika has continued to sit on the bench in the American Major Soccer League. 

The ZamFoot Crew now looks at how the players performed with their respective clubs. 

In Croatia, Emmanuel Banda played the last ten minutes of HNK Rijeka’s 1-0 win over Sibenik. 

In Denmark, Edward Chilufya’s Midjtlland are currently in action taking on Lynby. 

Chilufya is on the bench at the time of publication of this article. 

In England, Patson Daka was a second half substitute for Leicester in their 1-0 loss to Bournemouth. 

The Zambian international replaced Ricardo Pereira in the 58th minute. 

In Italy, Lameck Banda was a late second half substitute for Lecce in their 2-1 loss to Serie A Log leaders Napoli. 

In Portugal, Winger Kenneth Kalunga scored a goal for the Lusitania de Lourosa side that recorded a 1-1 draw in their Liga 3 encounter against Valadares Gaia.

In Serbia, Klings Kangwa is expected to be in action later today as Crvena Zvezda host Radnicki. 

In Scotland, Fashion Sakala Jnr came off the bench to play the last 21 minutes of FC Rangers 3-2 loss to rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby. 

In the Championship, Defender Frankie Chisenga Musonda rescued a point for AYR who played to a 1-1 draw with Morton FC. 

In South Africa,  Midfielder Rally Bwalya put in a full shift for Amazulu in their 2-2 draw with Cape Town City. 

At the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Rodrick Kabwe put in an 84 minute shift for Sekhukhune United who cruised to a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United. 

Friday Samu played 88 minutes for Maritzburg while Orlando Pirates target Toaster Nsabata was an unused substitute. 

At the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, Gamphani Lungu put in a full shift for Supersport United who recorded a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy. 

Siphesihle Ndhlovu and Bradley Grobler scored a goal each to hand Matsatsantsa a well deserved victory. 

In the USA, Aime Mabika was an unused substitute for Intermiami FC who suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to FC Dallas at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
