Enock Sakala JnrĀ  joins Gulf UnitedĀ

Emirati club Gulf United have officially unveiled Zambian striker Enock Sakala Jr as new signing. The club took to social media to confirm the development.

The 23-year old striker joins as a free agent on a two-year contract with a clause to leave the club in the event of a European offer, reports Zambian transfer expert, Wami Katanga

Sakala parted ways with record 13 time MTN Super League Champions, Nkana five months into his two year deal after a mutual separation

He made his debut for Gulf over the weekend in the 1-1 draw against Al-Hamiryah SC in the UAE First Division.

He links up with compatriot Emmanuel Mutale, also formerly of Nkana, at the club owned by partners from England.

Prior to joining Nkana, Sakala trained with BETWAY Premiership side Orlando Pirates in pre-season after leaving Chippa United.

The 23-year-old left Chippa United in July last year after a short-term deal, where he featured six times, scoring one goal after joining them in February after a stint in Egypt with Modern Sport.

Sakala scored 12 goals in the 2023/2024 MTN Super League season and helped Zesco United to qualify for the CAF confederation Cup before departure for Egypt.

Gulf United play their home matches at the Centre of Excellence in Jebel Ali.

They currently compete in the UAE Division 1 League — the highest level in the club’s history, reached after three consecutive promotions in four seasons.
