Chipolopolo Boys team doctor Joseph Kabungo has said first choice goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene’s substitution in Zambia’s narrow defeat to South Africa was precautionary.
And Israel based striker Evans Kangwa has joined the Chipolopolo Boys camp to complete the number of players called for this month’s African Cup of Nations.
Dr Kabungo said they didn’t want to aggravate the groin injury the Sundowns goalkeeper has been carrying in the last 3 months.
“Kennedy has a delicate groin and we didn’t want to expose him to possible injury,” Dr Kabungo said.
Mweene was replaced by Danny Munyau and the Red Arrows shot stopper made a crucial save.
Dr Kabungo also said that there’s a clean bill of health in the squad.
That was a good move,he is one of the best in the squad and we can not afford to lose him.
Thanks 4 saving him,if it ws he could’nt allow that goal.any all best to munyau
We need Jacob,Chris and Richard Kasonde to stabilize and give depth to the team. Janza from what I have seen is not like other stubborn coaches we have had, he listens to the 12th official, the fans! Janza knows, Lets honor Zambia with a strong team. We have the material to win this tournament even this year!
Like he listened getting rid of tired legs!
Good news to learn from Chipolopolo team doc that there is a clean bill of health in the squad. All the best guys.
Good news from the team,no injury clean sheet
Everyone is fit,so we expect no excuse from Janza if he fails.
It is not if but when he fails
You may have the best weapon,if u don’t know how to use it then you are as good as not having it. It is not the size or strength of the weapon but the strength of he who uses the weapon.
