Copper Queens forward Barbra Banda was named player of the match following her impressive performance against Egypt on Tuesday.
The Orlando Pride striker fired the Copper Queens to a 6-0 victory over Egypt in the WAFCON 2026 opening Group C match.
Banda scored four goals in the second half as Egypt decapitulated at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium.
Zambia took a first half lead courtesy of Racheal Nachula goal from the spot.
The 40 year old former Olympic splinter became the oldest WAFCON scorer.
WAFCON debutant Eneless Phiri was also on target as the Copper Queens demolished the North Africans.
Zambia will renew her rivalry against Nigeria on Saturday in what promises to be blockbuster fixture.
