MTN Super League side Kabwe Warriors have signed Nigerian striker Chijioke Alaekwe on a permanent deal from ZESCO United.
He joined ZESCO United at the start of last season but failed to break into the team at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The Magnificent People’s team took to social media to confirm the acquisition of the 28 year old who is the second striker they have signed in the last 24 hours having confirmed the acquisition of Paul Tembo on Saturday afternoon.
“Kabwe Warriors Football Club continues to strengthen its squad with the arrival of Nigerian Striker Chijioke Alaekwe on a permanent deal ahead of the Transition Season.
Alaekwe joins Kabwe Warriors from Zesco united and previously had stints with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club in Asia and Nigeria clubs Akwa United and Kano Pillars.”
In the 2024/2025 season he featured for Akwa United in the NPFL in which he scored 5 goals in 21 matches.
