The Zambia U17 national team has gone into camp to prepare for next month’s CAF U17 junior championship to be hosted by Niger.
Coach Chris Kaunda has summoned 28 players to camp ahead of Zambia’s maiden appearance at the U17 tournament.
The Patson Daka captained side will play a friendly against South Africa this weekend in Lusaka. The two teams are the Cosafa representatives at the tournament.
Kaunda has also stated that injured vice captain Changwe Kalale who injured his spine in a road traffic accident will travel with the team to the tournament.
Zambia will play Niger, Nigeria and Guinea in the group stage in the tournament which runs from 15 February to 1 March, 2015.
A semi final berth at the tournament guarantees a place at the Chile FIFA World Cup finals later in the year.
