Half Time Analysis

Zambia should have been 2 – 0 up. Unfortunately Patson Daka who does not look usual self squandered a good chance with only the keeper to beat.

The defense has looked well coordinated but Solomon Sakala looked jittery in some phases and is currently on a yellow. Their wing play has been good and they are trying to exploit the left back position where Kabwe is.

Prince Mumba has been the stand out player playing in the hole just behind Patson. He has utlized the spaces well but also remains a nuisance to the hosts as he is all over their faces when out of position and he is making the run from deep when in attack.

Boyd Musonda has done well to ensure there is a steady presence in midfield. The second half will call for the front three to raise their game to help Zambia retain more possession. The hosts dominated play in the last 15 minutes because they had more freedom in the middle of the pack and hence the need for Lubambo and Edward to tuck in more to support Mwepu and Boyd

Congrats to Chipolopolo! This is a great result and a super start to the World Cup qualifying campaign. Led by Mwepu and Daka these boys can make it!

However, it sounds as if there is a need to shore up the defense.

Is there a final word yet on whether or not Daka and Mwepu will be allowed to play in Zambia next week?

Our midfield is weak hence putting pressure on our defense. There is a room of improvement. Lubambo musonda and chibwe goal stopper was very outstanding. Weakest link for me was Rodrick Kabwe.

Please coach ensure the Tunisia game substute boyd mudonda for benson sakala, and also remove solomon for Tandi mwape and remove rodrick kabwe for prosper Chilufya

Benson Sakala or Larry Bwalya at Simba can do a better job than Boyd Musonda Rodrick Kabwe can still be given an opportunity again. He has been good in most games. It was just a bad day at the office. Boyd in big games he disappears and the Tunisia game will be too big for him.

Anyone knows if CCC will be available next game?

Midfield was porous, this resulted in pressure on our defense. I agree that the coach should consider replacing Boyd Musonda. Rodrick Kabwe is a good defender, he just had an off form day today.
Who are the replacements for Mwepu and Daka? a different formation might be necessary, which includes Kampamba and tripple C. Top striker could be Brian Mwila. Will FIFA allow us to add two players in the absence of Mwepu and Daka?
