Copper Bullets line up: Mwepu, Boyd Musonda, Prince Mumba, and Patson Daka start

Zambia national team head coach Beston Chambeshi has named a youthful squad to face Mauritania in this evening’s Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier.

South Africa-based Cyril Mwenya Chibwe starts in goal with Rodrick Kabwe, Solomon Sakala, Dominic Chanda, and Benedict Chepeshi making up the back four.

Skipper Enock Mwepu will partner with Boyd Musonda in the middle of the park. Musonda will be tasked with protecting the back four while Mwepu is expected to orchestrate the team’s attacks from the middle of the park.

Prince Mumba will provide the much-needed numbers in the middle of the park.

Edward Chilufya and Lubambo Musonda start in the wings and will support the attack with their wide play. The duo’s pace is expected to cause problems for the Mauritania defense.

Upfront Leicester City forward Patson Daka leads the attack and will be the focal point of the attack.

Daka netted five times in the AFCON qualifiers despite playing only four games and will be expected to lead the charge for maximum points.

The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) will televise the match with kick-off at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott set at 18:00 hrs.
