With Emmanuel Mayuka trekking to Egypt, it’s alarming with how many Zambian players are in Europe now.
One in France, One in Greece then two in Israel and finally two in Eastern Europe.
France – Ligue 1
Bordeaux v Lille
After starting in midweek in Coupe de France, Stopilla Sunzu returned to the bench as Lille lost 1-0. The on-loan defender from China has made just 8 appearances with 6 coming as starts.
He is yet to start a ligue 1 game since Herve Renard was sacked.
Greece – Super League
PAOK v Veria
Rodger Kola started as a lone striker for Veria but was replaced after the break. Veria lost 2-1.
Kola has made 15 appearances this season with a return of 1 goal. He has started 8 of those games.
Israel – Ligat ha’Al
Maccabi Haifa v Hapoel Ra’anana
Both Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa played for 90 minutes in Ra’anaana’s 2-0 defeat to Maccabi Haifa.
Ra’anaana is 6th on log.
Belgium – Second Division
Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba‘s Lierse SK had their game postponed.
Eastern Europe – Armenia & Russia: Winter break
Lubambo Musonda and Chisamba Lungu returned to their bases last week. They are now expected to go on mid
pre-season training. The league will resume in March.

Mayuka’s move to zamalek is OK the boy is finished and needs games under his belt. When he goes back to Europe let him go to Holland or belgium because those are the best he can do. The guy can’t play in leagues like France, England or Spain he has failed even I his biggest fan must be honest
Mayuka has never failed anywhere, he is not just given enough game time.In fact he was even more aggressive than Victor Wanyama.He failed to contain Mbesuma whom you same the chaps said he is finished.Shame on you John and viva Zambia.
Nazo it seems you are new to Zambia football or football in general.For your information game time is never given on a silver platter. You need to merit the game time. If Mayuka couldnt get a game time under HR his own coach who knows all his qualities very well. I wonder under which coach he will get a game time.
@Abram am sure even Mourinho or Gaurdiola will still be referred to as a useless coach for benching a Zambia player.the problem we have as African is that we are quick to apportion blames instead of taking responsibilities for our own failure
Am very very sansamuketed that Lile lost while Sunzu was on Bench, coach should start using Sunzu even in league matches. The boy is solid when he is not psychologically tortured. Play the boy every game and see his impact in the team.
