Chisamba Lungu currents leads the poll followed by Rainford Kalaba who has been taking the set pieces since the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Chipolopolo have not posed the biggest threat from set-pieces with the last direct goal.
It’s difficulty to remember a goal scored directly from a free kick in recent times, which was not the case when the stars of yester-years like Kalush Bwalya would make the crowds stand in anticipation every time Zambia had a set-piece.

I will go for for Cletus Chama ( actually that one vote he has came from me ) Kalaba has not been hitting the target with all the free kicks he takes. The last his kicks were a real threat was at AFCON 201O0 in Angola. His forma has been so bad on free kicks but we still insist that he takes them. Is it a Captain thing ? cant the coaches allocate this responsibility to someone who can really threaten. I should admit, Chisamba should come before Cletus, but watch the young man – he is damn good at bending the ball and shooting from outside the 18.

sorry,i don’t have an answer but answers ,it largely depends on the position the free kick is given . these four can make a difference on that, Rodrick Kabwe (though I only see him coming on as a substitute in that big game), Fackson Kapumbu who in my view should in the starting eleven with Silwimba as full backs, Rainford Kalaba and then lastly Collins Mbesuma (that is the way i see it honestly).
ur zambia coach is looking for experience players,, football is not in that era anymore most cauntries use kids.. The players u tink are experience are big flops.. If nigeria want to use experience players we would have called Osaze odewingie of (stoke city),, obafemi martins (sittle sounders), Ike uche (malaga) obi who plays for (inter milan) they are many but they are too old let the young players enjoy the game too

Simply put, each player’s statistics should be known i.e. position of free kicks and goals scored.
Then we can start talking.
I believe the position matters. so the best man in a particular area, should take them.
My guess is like everyone else. Kalaba? No. The man cannot take freekicks. Chisamba? He is just the same as Kalaba to me. Cetus I don’t know. Roderick I do not know.

WE must ask bola yapa zed and the commentators since they do a lot of homework before they commentate…..they should have all the statistics i.e. attempts to goals scored ratio locally and for the foreign based.
