No easy fix to world qualification-Kawri

Former Zambia national team assitant coach Irfan Kawri believes their is no overnight fix to Zambia’s qualification to the FIFA world cup.

Kawri who is keen on making a return to Zambia after a short stint as Chipolopolo assistant coach is confident if a well planned philosophy was executed to this effect, Zambia could soon grace the biggest sporting show piece on the planet.

“This is not an overnight fix. We need to have a clear philosophy, ethos, structure and vision that everyone at FAZ needs to buy into from the receptionist, kit man to the head coach. There needs to be a synergy created throughout. We need an identity on and off the pitch. We need to have the right balance of foreign based players, local players, young and experienced,” Kawri told Zambian football.co.zm in an exclusive interview from his base in the United kingdom.

Kawri who is an opposition analyst, Scout and Coach has always kept the door open for a reunion with Chipolopolo after leaving his role as assistant to Chicken George Lwandamina back in 2016.

“This does not mean I have closed the door with FAZ. In the future, depending on the circumstances there is still a possibility of me returning to work with the national teams,” Kawri wrote in his parting statement to FAZ

The Queens Park Rangers opposition analyst and scout is full of praise for Zambian players and believes there is alot of talent in the country.

“There is very good talent in our squad and in our country in general just look at Patson Daka CAF young player of the year,” He said.
