Zambia super league young player of the year for 2017 Lameck Banda has made Zesco United’s eighteen man squad for the trip to Abidjan.
The youngster has not taken any time to make his way into the Zesco United set up though not straight into the starting line-up. The 17 year old has already opened his scoring account in the competition as he netted from the sport in United’s seven nil bashing of JKU of Zanzibar.
Free kick specialist Bornwell Silengo who has forced his way to the lips of local football fanatics after scoring three beautiful direct free-kicks in two games has also made the cut.
The usual suspects in Jesse Jackson Were, Lazarous Kambole and Zikiru Adams have all been included in the squad.
The team leaves for Ivory Coast this afternoon. The game will be played on Sunday 18th March 2018 at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
