Kazakhstan based duo return as Mwape names 26 Copper Queens for Kenya clash

Zambia Women’s National Team head coach Bruce Mwape has summoned 26 players to camp including the 2019 Kazakhstan League Champions BIIK Kazygurt duo of Recheal Kundananji and Misozi Zulu who missed the third round in which Zambia eliminated The Mares of Botswana via a 3-nil aggregate scoreline to progress to the next round.

Spanish based striker Barbara Banda who plays for EDF Logrono is also part of the laces called by Mwape who will have all to play for in this decisive fourth round of the Olympics 2020 Qualifier against The Harambee Starlets of Kenya who eliminated the Black Queens of Ghana 1-nil on aggregate.

The two inclusions in the squad is the Under 17 and 20 duo of Yasa Queens Goalkeeper Inghu’tu Muchahabali and Chiparamba Breakthrough Defender Mapalo Kapindula respectively who participated at this year’s COSAFA Women’s Championships in South Africa.

The team is expected to regroup on Monday 28th October, 2019 and start preparations for a two-legged tie with the Copper Queens traveling away to Kasarani on November 8 at the Moi International Sports Center in the first leg before the return match which will be played 3 days later at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium to determine who progresses to the final round to face the winner between the West African Derby as Ivory Coast tackles Cameron in another Fourth round tie.

The Winner in the fifth round will automatically qualify for the Olympics while the Runners-up will fight for another berth with South American Giants Chile who is already waiting for this Fixture.
