The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Lieutenant Colonel Kambani Ronald Lungu as its new General Manager for National Teams.
Col. Lungu takes up the role with immediate effect as FAZ looks to strengthen the coordination and administration of its national teams.
FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya said Lungu’s experience in football administration would add value to the national teams set-up.
“We are confident that Col. Lungu’s experience in football administration will add value to the national team’s set-up. His role will be critical in ensuring that our national teams are well coordinated and supported,” Chakatazya said.
Lungu is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Zambian Premier League side Red Arrows, having previously served as the club’s team manager.
He has also served on the executive committee of Power Dynamos.
FAZ said Lungu will work closely with the technical and administrative teams at all levels to ensure the smooth running of the country’s national teams.
His appointment comes as FAZ seeks to strengthen the management and support structures around its national teams.
Lungu succeeds Chakatazya, who previously held the General Manager for National Teams position before his recent appointment as FAZ General Secretary.
