Zanaco Football Club on Wednesday left the country for Equatorial Guinea for the first leg of the CAF Confederation pre-group encounter against Cano Sports.
Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba and his technical bench have picked an eighteen member squad for the match in Malabo this Sunday.
Long-serving goalkeeper Racha Kola and Toaster Nsabata have been called upon to provide cover in between the sticks. Zambia Under-23 National team goalkeeper Mangani Banda has not been included as he is part of the Under 23 national team preparing for the AFCON Under-23 to be held in Egypt next month.
The central defensive partnerships are likely to be formed around the experienced captain fantastic Ziyo Tembo, Namibian Tiberius Lombard and Congolese Belchance Makiese who played as a defensive midfielder in the match against Forest Rangers last weekend.
The other defenders are Lawrence Chungu, Jimmy Nakena who has settled well in the right-back position since the start of the season and Ghanaian Kevin Owusu.
In midfield, Kelvin Kapumbu makes a return to the squad having missed the Super League match against Forest Rangers and is likely to return to the starting line-up in the defensive role in the middle of the pack.
Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike, Ernest Mbewe, rejuvenated Charles Zulu and the Congolese duo of Guily Manziba and Lassa Kiala have all made the traveling squad face Cano Sports.
Chitiya Mususu who missed the return match in the last round against Bolton Youth Club in Lusaka returns to the squad while Rogers Kola, Emmanuel Okutu and Moussa Souleymanou are the other striking options for Numba and the technical bench this Sunday.
Zanaco takes on Cano Sports Academy of Equatorial Guinea in the CAF Confederation Cup Pre-group stage, First Leg in Equatorial Guinea at Stade De Malabo Stadium on 27 October.
