Zambia Women’s National Team head coach Bruce Mwape has named a very youthful side for camp ahead of next week’s trip to South Korea.
The Copper Queens entered camp on Sunday ahead of next month’s International friendly matches.
Mwape has handed ZISD Women’s new acquisition Inonge Kaloustian her first call up for the National Team.
Kaloustian recently completed her naturalisation process after coming to Lusaka from the United States of America where she featured for Clark University.
Mwape has also handed first call ups to Bauleni United Sports Academy defender Martha Katila Banda and YASA Queens defender Luty Kamanga, the ZamFoot Crew can confirm.
Both Banda and Kamanga, a Luyando Foundation Girls product are both former Zambia U-17 National Team players.
Green Buffaloes Women’s Football club defender on loan at Zanaco, Delicious Hamwiinga has returned to the senior team setup.
Mwape has also handed in-form Zanaco goal machine Sarah Jere and goalkeeper Christabel Njuka maiden call ups.
Others who have been called to the Copper Queens Camp are Tisilile Lungu, Judith Soko, Esther Siamfuko, Esther Banda, Rhoda Chileshe and Comfort Selemani.
Regulars Catherine Musonda, Pauline Zulu, Xiomara Mapepa, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji, Mary Wilombe, Agness Musesa, and the amazing Evarine Susan Katongo are all part of the squad.
Mwape is expected to have a strong squad for the April FIFA window with Foreign based players also expected to be available for the assignment.
Mwape will however be without defensive Queenpin Lushomo Mweemba who is currently nursing an injury suffered during the 1-0 loss to YASA Queens.
The full squad is expected to be confirmed later today.
The Copper Queens will face Asian side Korea Republic in two international friendly matches on April 7th and 11th.
The two matches are part of the Copper Queens preparations for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Korea Republic is ranked 17th in the World while Zambia is perched in the 77th position on the global charts.
South Korea is in Group H alongside Morocco, Colombia, and Germany. A match against Zambia will be an opportunity to face African opposition as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup.
Zambia are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand.

You know women are doing better in Zambia,we have dependable foreign based players and that is our advantage, for the reason that, the coach is involving young players in the squad each time we have international friendly and big competitions by doing this will mantain women’s football standard in Zambia.
Coach Bruce just need to keep on motivating those who will fall behind during the selections of a final squads for the reason that they are the next best players to play,we need them too for helping the country and him to be able to select the players to represent the country Zambia.
