Zambia international Lameck Banda will remain at Serie A side US Lecce for another season after the Italian club exercised a one-year extension option on his contract, keeping him at the Stadio Via del Mare until June 2027.
In an official statement, Lecce confirmed that the contracts of Banda, Antonino Gallo and Ylber Ramadani have all been extended by a further year, securing their futures as the club prepares for another campaign in Italy’s top flight.
The 25-year-old winger, who joined Lecce from Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2022 for around €2 million, was a key performer in their fight for survival last season. He finished as the club’s most productive attacking player, contributing five goals and four assists.
Banda also made history as the first Zambian to score in Serie A, further cementing his growing reputation in European football since his move to Italy.
