Gabon to arrive late without Aubameyang

The Gabon national team will arrive in the country this evening for the international friendly match against the Chipolopolo of Zambia to be played on Tuesday evening in Lusaka.

After several changes to their charter aircraft plans, the Panthers of Gabon are expected to land at about 20:00 with a huge 58-man delegation.

Gabonese star player and captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of German side Borussia Dortmund is not part of the traveling party after he pulled out of the friendly to nurse an ankle injury he sustained during the Africa Cup qualifier against Sudan. He was substituted in the 82nd minute in the game.

Axel Meye, Knox Younga and Romaric Rogombe are some of the additions to the team that played over the weekend were part of the team that left Libreville at 15:00hrs today.

The Gabonese are fresh from thrashing Sudan 4-0 in a game played on Saturday while Chipolopolo triumphed 2-1 over Kenya in Nairobi in AFCON 2017 qualifying.

Sudan are Zambia’s opponents in the World cup qualifiers to be played in November.

The game against Gabon will be played in Lusaka at Heroes stadium and will kickoff at 18:00hrs. Tickets fares have been pegged at K30.00 all round while VIP tickets are K300.00.

Ticket Sales are at Football House and Most Post Offices in Lusaka, however VIP tickets can only be bought from Football House.
