Forest Rangers have confirmed the return of experienced coach Manchi Janza as First Assistant Coach on a two-year contract as the club strengthens its technical bench ahead of the 2026 ZPL National League transitional season.
Janza rejoins the Ndola-based outfit after most recently serving as head coach of Trident FC and will link up with head coach Ronald Mukosha as Forest Rangers continue preparations for a campaign in which they hope to secure an immediate return to the MTN Super League.
Janza served in the same capacity at Fole Malembe between November 2023 and December 2024.
Announcing the appointment, the club said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Manchi Janza as First Assistant Coach on a two-year contract.” Forest Rangers added that the experienced tactician “brings a wealth of coaching experience, technical expertise, and leadership to strengthen the Club’s technical bench.”
The club believes Janza’s return will bolster its promotion ambitions, saying he will work alongside Mukosha “as the Club continues its preparations for the new season and pursues its ambition of securing promotion to the Premier League.” Forest Rangers concluded by welcoming the former coach back, stating: “The Club warmly welcomes back Coach Janza to the Forest Rangers family and wishes him every success in his new role.”
The 45 year old spent 9 years at Lusaka Dynamos as an understudy to coaches like Perry Mutapa, Patrick Phiri, Dan Kabwe , Ian Bakala, Wedson Nyirenda, and Chris Kaunda,
He was also promoted to the role of head coach in 2022 leading Lusaka Dynamos in the 2022/2023 season in the National League.
The CAF A diploma holder was part of the Lusaka Dynamos technical bench that won the 2021 ABSA Cup.
