Trident FC confirm Manchi Janza appointment 

ZPL National League side Trident FC have 

confirmed the appointment of Manchi Janza as head coach as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew

The 44 year old has penned a one year deal with the North Western Province based outfit with an option to extend. 

“Trident Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Manchi Janza as the new Head Coach, with immediate effect.” 

The CAF A Diploma holder will be assisted by Arnold Malisawa as Assistant Coach, Graven Chitalu as Physical Trainer, and Isaac Shimoko as Goalkeeper Coach.

Janza has replaced George Chilufya who recently left the club to join Kabwe Warriors earlier this month.

Janza will be expected to lead the Conquerors in their push for Super League promotion after missing out on the last day in the 2024/2025 season. 

The 44 year old spent 9 years at Lusaka Dynamos as an understudy to coaches like Perry Mutapa, Patrick Phiri, Dan Kabwe , Ian Bakala, Wedson Nyirenda, and Chris Kaunda, 

He was also promoted to the role of head coach in 2022 leading Lusaka Dynamos in the 2022/2023 season in the National League. 

Recently he was assistant coach at Forest Rangers under Mwenya Chipepo, a club he joined in 2023.

Trident Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Manchi Janza as the new Head Coach, with immediate effect.

Coach Janza has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend. He brings valuable experience from the MTN Super Division, having previously served as Head Coach and Assistant Coach at Lusaka Dynamos, and most recently as First Assistant Coach at Forest Rangers. 

The CAF A Diploma holder was also part of the Lusaka Dynamos technical bench that won the 2021 ABSA Cup, a key highlight of his coaching career.

He will be assisted by Arnold Malisawa as Assistant Coach, Graven Chitalu as Physical Trainer, and Isaac Shimoko as Goalkeeper Coach.

Pre-season preparations have officially begun, with Coach Janza already taking charge of the squad as the team builds towards the new campaign.
