Chipolopolo Boys arrive in Francis Town ahead of AFCON qualifier

The Chipolopolo boys have arrived in Francis Town ahead of Monday’s Cameroon 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Zebras of Botswana.

The Lubambo Musonda captained side arrived in Francistown at around 1 pm on a charted plane from Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

The 2012 African Cup of Nations Champions go into matchday 4 tie as favorites but they will know it’s a must-win for them to keep their hopes of AFCON qualification alive.

Zambia beat Botswana 2-1 on Thursday at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium thanks to goals from Enoch Mwepu and Collins Sikombe.

The win saw the Copper Bullets move into a point behind second-placed Zimbabwe who lost 3-1 to Algeria on matchday 3.

Botswana is bottom in Group H and only have a point to their name. Algeria only needs a point to secure a place at the tournament with three games left to play.

Zambia XI 2-1 Botswana: Sebastian Mwange (1), Gamphani Lungu (20), Zachariah Chilongoshi (23), Tandi Mwape (3), Luka Banda (5), Kelvin Kapumbu (15), Enock Mwepu (11), Collins Sikombe (14), Lubambo Musonda (8), Augustine Mulenga (17), Justin Shonga (12).

  1. My word of advice for Zambia’s defence. Keep an eye on the man without the ball especially in the wings. Do not continue with your weakness which is to follow the ball and leaving wide spaces in the wings…please!

  2. The next game will be open play because Botswana has nothing to loss with a point in the bag. We expect more goals.Justine Shonga must come as a supersub.again am saying we need to grind the results.
