The Zambia Under-17 Women’s Football Team will tomorrow face Rwanda in the reverse fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with kickoff set for 15:00 hours.
The winner of the tie will advance to meet the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the next round.
Speaking after training at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, defender Lillian Mwenda said the team has been working to correct mistakes from the first leg, where coordination was lacking.
Goal scorer Grace Phiri, who netted one of Zambia’s two goals in the first leg, said she is focused on helping new players gain confidence as they take part in the qualifiers.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Carol Mweetwa has called on fans to turn up in numbers and rally behind the team.
Zambia heads into the reverse fixture with a 2–0 advantage from the first leg.
