5 star display by Power as Zesco are held by Buffaloes

The league title is slowly beginning to slip away from the champions Zesco United after they failed to win for a second game running when they were held to a 1 – 1 draw by Green Buffaloes at Independence Stadium.

The champions started well and were ahead as early as the second minute when Mwape Mwelwa scored with an easy shot after some good work by Clatous Chama on the left.

Zesco from there on looked lethargic but for few chances falling to Jesse Were.

Buffaloes efforts were rewarded in the 90th minute when Sebastian Mwansa pealed off Simon Silwimba to head home an Allan Mukuka cross from the right.

It was a fair result for both teams on the day.

In Kitwe, it was a five star performance by Power Dynamos when they trounces Nakambala Leopards 5 – 1.

Patson Daka and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba each scored a brace while Jimmy Ndhlovu scored the other.

Keagan Bwalya scored the consolation for the visitors.

Nkwazi moved into 8th position as they made it back to back wins with a win away against Nchanga Rangers.

  1. Patson on song lately he must have found a good partnership at power. Hes last impressing performance was last heard of during tge late Fighton simukonda’s reingn at Rangers. During those moments it will be worthy to mention Larry Bwalya as being one the midfielders. The two were supposed to be moving together but Larry is missing in national team call ups. hoping the coaches will find a partner for the striker , since hes likely our future striker. Congratulations to Power n hard luck to Zega.

  2. Yeah. That is worth asking (bo)kuku. Billy lights to be nurtured. Zambia needs a pool of good defenders

On another note it looks like the sun is rising at sunset stadium and vice the opposite is inevitable at Levy Mwanawasa. It could be painful to the Zesco fans but the truth is that this story is good for Zambian football.

  3. Bola naikosa.hw goalz did daka scord so far…congrtion 2 aba yellow and it aba red 2day.all de best 2 nkana.walter shw them.

  4. Didnt watch the game but have watched Patson in the recent past. Strikes me to be just a slightly above average strike. He may get better, but nothing special!!!!He’s not in the class of Mbesuma, Katongo, Lota or even the once promising Mayuka at the start of their careers-didnt mention Kalu for obvious reasons. Giving him a starting place in an international was insanity of the highest order!!!!
