Week three of the Zambian Super League produced endless entertainment, goals galore! With Zanaco getting the most goals of the teams in Stream A while Green Buffaloes posted a big win and kept a clean sheet. The ZamFoot crew now breaks down the statistics of week 3.
Team Kopala ruled Stream B with four goals past Lumwana Radiants while Forest Rangers and Nkana were involved in a four goal thrilling encounter.
A total of 25 goals were scored with Stream A accounting for 48% (12 goals) while Stream B produced 13 goals which made up the other 52%.
STREAM A
Green Buffaloes 3-Nakambala Leopards 0
Green Buffaloes hosted the Sugar Boys of Nakambala at the Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka. The game was never short of excitement and the goals finally came to the delight of the fans. Buffaloes posted its first win and contributed 3 goals to the total of 12 goals scored in the Stream (A). Chilimba Moonga opened the scores before Diamond Chikwekwe, who started on the bench got another goal in the 81st minute as Eddy Sinyangwe rounded up the scores in the 90th minute.
The win means Green Buffaloes register three players in the top scorers chart.
Mufulira Wanderers 0-0 Lusaka Dynamos
The two teams played out to a scoreless draw, as Mufulira remain unbeaten in three games. The search for that illusive win continues for Lusaka Dynamos.
Prison Leopards 1-Red Arrows 1
Prison Leopards hosted Red Arrows at the Godfrey Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe. The encounter contributed 2 goals to the 12 goals scored in the stream. Both teams are still winless after three games and have managed two draws.
Frank Banini of Prison Leopards and Bruce Musakanya of Red Arrows registered a goal each on the Top Scorers chart.

Zanaco 4 Kitwe United 3
On Sunday, Sunset saw the goals rain as the Sensational Zanaco hosted Chingalika, Kitwe United.
Zanaco opened the scoring in the 4th minute via Roger Kola before Kitwe United leveled matters in the 19th minute through Rogers Mukenge. Moments later, Kapota Kayawe scored in his own net to put the bankers 2-1 up before Julius Situmbeko scored in the 36th minute to hand Zanaco a 3-1 lead.
Moses Lolozi tried to draw the visitors back into the match on the 40th minute mark before red hot striker Kola registered his second for the day in the 45th minute before halftime to lead 4-2 Zanaco.
The third goal for the visitors came through Mukenge who got his brace in the 67th minute. The win for Zanaco means Sensational now top the stream with 6 points ahead of Zesco United.

STREAM B
FC MUZA 0-1 Green Eagles
In a weekend that saw slender wins for most teams, Green Eagles produced a one nil win to move to six points in Stream B. Ray Mutale scored the whole important goal for the visitors in Mazabuka in the 62nd minute.
Power Dynamos 0-1 Nkwazi
Power Dynamos played host to High Flying Nkwazi, coming at the backdrop of a loss in Choma against Green Eagles. Nkwazi on the other hand, handed Forest Rangers a 1-nil defeat at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
The only goal came courtesy of Eric Chomba who has now registered a goal in the Super League and thus condemned Power to a second loss in a row.
Napsa Stars 1-1 Circuit City
A physical battle that involved two Lusaka based clubs clash at Edwin Imboela Stadium, ended in a one-all state of affair. Circuit City were the first to draw first blood through Dominic Chanda in the 42nd minute but conceded through a penalty when Napsa striker Laudit Mavugo was brought down in the eighteen area.
The striker stepped forward to convert the penalty to take his tally to three goals for the season.
Forest Rangers 2-2 Nkana
Forest Rangers opened the scoring in this early kickoff encounter in Ndola with a goal from Yvan Mballa in the 10th minute.
Nkana found their way back in the match via a Freddy Tshimenga 40th minute strike before Douglas Muwowo put Fole Malembe back in the lead moments before the break.
Walter Bwalya was the hero for Kalampa as he got a late equalizer for the visitors as the two sides shared the spoils at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Nkana have 5 points while the draw means Forest now have picked 4 points.
Buildcon 4- 1 Lumwana Radiants
The struggle continues for Lumwana Radiants after Buildcon handed them a 4-1 bashing at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Lumwana were the first to score through Chrispin ‘Wado’ Mulenga in the 21st minute, before Nigerian international Okoro Moses Osas put the host on level terms on the 36th minute mark. They two sides went on the break 1-all.
After the break, Buildcon went on to get three more goals, a brace from Fahad Bayo (46’,84’) while debutant Ephrem Guikan got his first goal of the season in the 85’minute to ruthlessly hand Lumwana a second loss in three matches.
