Red Arrows confirm five new acquisitions

MTN Super League side Red Arrows have confirmed the acquisition of five new players ahead of the transitional season.

Leading the new players are striker Eliya Mandanji, forward Munda Phiri and defender Owen Mwamba as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew

The others are midfielder Elvis Mulenga from Kafue Celtic and former Zambia U20 national team left back Amon Chulu.

The 2026 ABSA Cup winners took to social media to confirm the development in a press statement monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.

“The runway is getting busier and Red Arrows Football Club have made their intentions well known ahead of the coming football season which will see the Airmen return to the CAF Confederation Cup.

As the Club continues to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level, the Airmen have reinforced their ranks with five exciting additions, bringing a blend of defensive solidity, attacking flair and youthful ambition to the championship winning setup.”

“The Club has successfully secured the services of the following players:

Owen Mwamba – The composed and dependable Mufurila Wanderers captain arrives  with valuable  experience and a reputation for strength, discipline and defensive awareness. His ability to read the game and provide stability at the back adds another layer of quality and leadership to the Red Arrows defensive unit.

Eliya Mandanji – The Chipolopolo forward  joins from Kafue Celtic Football Club .He brings attacking energy, movement and a hunger to make his mark. His eye for goals and ability to stretch defences to create scoring opportunities adds more firepower to the Airmen’s attacking options. Mandanji was the golden boot winner for Zanaco Football Club  where he spent last season on loan from Celtic. Certainly, one of the players to watch in the Airmen colours in the coming season.

Munda Phiri – Blessed with pace, creativity and the ability to take on defenders, the versatile winger joins the Airmen from Kabwe Warriors Football Club. His flair and versatility on the wings provide the team with another dimension in the final third. Undoubtedly, player to get the VIP seat at Nkoloma.

Elvis Mulenga – A budding and technically gifted midfielder from Kafue Celtic Football Club  brings composure, work rate and intelligence to the Red Arrows engine room. His ability to dictate play and contribute both defensively and offensively strengthens the Club’s midfield options.

Amon Chulu – A disciplined left back from Nkana Football Club brings experience, pace and tactical understanding. The former  U-20 national team player’s arrival further reinforces the depth and competitiveness within the squad.”

Meanwhile, the Airmen have also recalled defender Patson Mpande from his development spell at River Plate Football Club.

“Mpande’s return signals the Club’s confidence in his growth and potential, as Red Arrows continue to invest in developing talent while maintaining a squad built for success.Mpande is a product of the Red Arrows Youth Team.

With five new faces joining the ranks and Mpande returning home, the message from Nkoloma is clear, Chisi Mbewe is not only building on the success achived so far but cooking a formidable squad for another seasonal shocker and reloaded campaign.”
