Nkana Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of 21-year-old winger Hector Sakala on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Sakala joins Kalampa after spending last season on loan at Mutondo Stars, where he continued his development, having begun his football journey at King Soccer Academy before joining Shamuel Academy.
The exciting wide player becomes the latest addition to the club’s squad as preparations continue for the 2026/27 transitional season.
Speaking after completing his move, Sakala expressed his excitement at joining the record Super League champions.
“I am delighted to join Nkana Football Club, it has always been my ambition to play for a big club like Nkana and I am grateful for the opportunity the club has given me. My time at Mutondo Stars helped me grow both as a player and as a person. I learned a lot from the experience and I believe it has prepared me for this next step in my career,” Sakala said.
“I know the expectations that come with wearing the Nkana jersey and I am ready to work hard every day to help the team achieve its objectives. I can’t wait to play in front of the supporters and I will give my all to make them proud.”
Nkana FC Chief Executive Officer Mwansa Kapyanga welcomed Sakala to the club, describing him as a player with exciting qualities and great potential.
“Hector is an exciting young winger with pace, directness and the desire to improve. We have followed his progress closely and believe he has the attributes to develop into an important player for Nkana Football Club,” Kapyanga said.
“His performances over the past season showed maturity and consistency, and we are pleased to provide him with the opportunity to continue his growth in the colours of Nkana. We believe he has the right attitude to succeed here and we look forward to seeing him contribute to the team.”
