Zanaco will go into the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup tie against Harare City on the upper hand after they put up a sensational performance to beat their hosts 2 – 1 in a game played at Rufaro stadium in Zimbabwe.
The 2015 Zambia Super League runners up were too strong for their hosts and they went ahead in the first half through Aubrey Funga before Rodrick Kabwe added a second in the 80th minute.
Harare City managed to score a face saver in the 86th minute through Ronald Chitiyo to give his side a fighting chance going into the second leg.

Well at first I thought I was not judging this league well especially towards the end of last season when I noted some significant improvement in quality of the players……but now I can confidently say the ZPL has come of age.It is interesting to note that quite a number of youngsters are playing in this league. I only wish more could grow in it. Its really encouraging.

Congrats to zanaco tho thy defeated a team tht finished 7th in th zim league last season. A lot of work still needs to be done inorder for zanaco to be declared ready for battle in th CC Cup. As for zescolo, thy are a complete team, Adama Bahn, David Owino, are rock solid @ th back, chaila nd Akumu agay are magnificent in th holding midfield role. Clatous chama is in a class of his own, + idriss mbombo nd jesse were form a good strike partnership. Chaila deserves to be called in th national team.
