China: Chamanga scores in his club’s defeat

Zambia’s export to China James Chamanga was on target in Liaoning Whowin’s 3-2 away defeat to Shandong Luneng in the second match of the Chinese Super League Friday.

Chamanga, who started wide on the left put the visitors 1-0 up at Jinan Olympic Sports Centre Stadium but his goal was cancelled out five minutes later.

The home side went to the break leading 2-1 up before extending their lead in the 52nd minute.

Senegalese striker Toure pulled one back for Whowin in injury time but it was too late.

The 36 year old Chamanga is one of the longest serving players in the Chinese Super League.

Last week, Whowin beat Jacob Mulenga’s team in the opening league game.

Meanwhile Mulenga’s Shijiazhuang will be in action on Sunday as they host Hangzhou.
