Napsa Stars are just a win away from their first-ever League title and Fathi’s first in Zambia.
The Egyptian born gaffer is happy with the progress he has had with the Pensioners since joining the club back in 2018, Helping them survive relegation and now fighting for the title.
” Work hard let’s finish the job,” Fathi said in response to a question about his message to his players.
“I think it’s a very important game for me personally and the club. For me it ‘will’ be my first title in Zambia and also for me to complete my job since I took over, 2018 we survived relegation and the next year here we are fighting for the championship, It’s a big achievement for the club and I look at myself and am satisfied with what I have done in the last two years,” he added.
Fathi believes the match can change the players’ and coaches ‘ lives so they should take it seriously. He feels the team needs to play continental football and achieve their dreams.
” It’s a very important game that can change our lives so we need to take it seriously. We need to play continental and achieve our dreams so we will work very hard for it,” he said.
“I have never been under pressure and I never put players under pressure. We will enjoy our game,” he added.
A win for Napsa Stars will win them the league while anything less than a win will guarantee Nkana the elusive record 13th title as they will earn three points from the game against Nakambala Leopards who will not travel for the match.
