Zambia national team trainer Wedson Nyirenda has named his final 23 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Nigeria next week.
Nyirenda announced his team when he dropped 11 players that were in camp for the past week.
Notable among those axed are Zesco United midfielder Misheck Chaila who hado an exceptional run in the CAF champions league.

Patson Daka who has picked form in the local league has also been dropped.
Zesco united have dominated the final team with 6 players while Zanaco have contributed 4 three of those in defence and these include Ziyo Tembo, George Chilufya and Fackson Kapumbu. They three have helped log leaders Zanaco have the least goals conceded so far.
Fwayo Tembo also makes the squad.
The 14 will be joined by 9 foreign based players.

I like the change or rather addition in defense # Ziyo Tembo, Kapumbu etc.
Wishing the copper bullets all the best……go Chipolopolo go
Good selection.Glad to see Chisamba Lungu back. It’s good Patson has be released. He needs time to grow as a player. Perhaps the addition of Mbola and Evans in future assignments. Go Chipolopolo.
Adrian Chama not so good . Joseph musonda wwould mean a lot at the back
Macha has being injured so Evans Kangwa should be in he’s place!
We are only country that prefer players from small clubs in SA,Congo and Zambia on players that play in Turkey, China, Israel…
Good selection but dont start kabaso start Lawrence that guy from power….chongo lack urgency… and pick mbola next time he is an experienced left
The true hero will seen on 9 go zed go paka mwisumbo
am glad to see some changes in the squad hope wadda can make a difference in terms of fifa rankings by performing well, always remember attack is the best defense, go Zambia go.
Winning mentality I believe is attacking football with urgency. We wait and see!
Final score: ZAMBIA 0 VS NIGERIA 2
Have got 2 reply you Samuel. It will be Nigeria 4 v 0 Zambia.
It will be the other round my broda
just wait and see bola nipa 9 Chipolopolo all the way kano ngatauli mu Zambian
All the sanctions are OK, but upfront we need evance kangwa
Go Zambia Go chipolopolo all the way
@SOME HELL i can see thats your prediction, but for that to happen Nigeria must leave no juju behind its gonna be hot birds against copper bullets.
Upfront chamanga can make a difference. He is in good form scoring goals.
They say in football u hv to be patriotic but honestly i don’t see this Zed team beatin Nigeria, instead a defeat is eminent. We hv a long way 2 go to start talkin big.#WhatsapFam
I honestly don’t know why Evans Kangwa is still being overlooked. Nakula, napya, his time has come please ! We have seen so many other players go over the hill simply because we haven’t given them a chance – look at how we have never utilised Rogers Kola, playing in Europe but we were using the Patson Daka’s in crucial AFCON Qualifiers !
Not gona be an easy match for zambia.. D egles can’t wait to show u guys how its done! Xpecting ur defence to give out a panalty kick with the calibre of Nigeria’s attack
The only mistake the coach has made is by dropping Chaila in place of Kondwani. We needed a player like Chaila or Isaac to cut the attacks by experienced Nigerian team. Kondwani is too casual and sometimes he run of steam, back passes and inaccurate ones.
I also dont see zambia winning. with the l8kes of ahmed musa and kelechi iheanacho theu have a deadly attack. the best we can hope for is a draw and then loose respecctably away
@ stumpy we also have iwobi ..Victor moses ..Isaac success
you should tank God ighalo isn’t playing
@jotey Ighalo will be available and as also talked of his readiness. Nigeria 4 v 0 Zambia

I don’t see zambia winning this game. Am a zambian fun but @the moment the only team zambia can beat is ngombe stars

you know brodas zambia is capable of doing anything, lets support zampondo, and next time remind them to use sharp winggers like: lubambo, mukuka, and musakanya. then also do something about abana bakwa charles, zambian leader ma gealuos yashani other nations are benefiting from your own asserts come on do something and call them next time. thanks we are winning go zam go.
