Tunisia will be seeking a place in the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations when they face Zambia in Cairo on Monday.
The Young Carthage Eagles lost their first match 1-0 to Gambia before drawing goalless against Benin in Group C in Alexandria.
Coach Adel Sellimi is optimistic of his team’s chances against the Young Copper Bullets who are level with them on one point.
“The match is very important for us given that we want to win and qualify to the quarter finals of the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON,” Sellimi said at his pre-match press conference.
“We prepared strongly and focused on the mental and technical factors and this is the most important thing at the current stage.”
The North Africans are yet to score in the tournament and the experienced coach says his team will play to win and go through.

“Not scoring a goal so far is not appropriate for Tunisia. Our chances are great and we will do all it takes to win and make the next round.
“Before the tournament our goals were great, which is to win the championship, but after our level we have presented, we only seek to qualify for the World Cup.
Centre back Mohamed Kechiche joined his coach at the press conference in Cairo and the youngster was positive that they can go through.
“We always play to win and strive to make our people back home happy,” Amine said.
“Our ambition is to play in a World Cup but we must take each step at a time.
“We are preparing for Zambia and after the match we will think about what’s next.”
