Zambia’s envoys in the CAF Confederation cup, Nkana football club looks all set for tomorrow’s second leg match against TAS de Casablanca of Morocco.
Going into this match Nkana takes a 2 nil advantage as they beat the Moroccan side in the first league at Nkana stadium last Sunday to keep their 54th-year unbeaten run at home intact.
The Zamfoot crew had an opportunity to interview Coach Kelvin Kaindu, captain Kelvin Moyo and inform striker Simon Mulenga ahead of tomorrow’s showdown from the Stade Larbi-Zaouli, Casablanca Morocco.
“We traveled well despite not finding anyone from the host team waiting for us at the airport but it has also not been so easy for us to secure a training pitch but we thank God with every small opportunity we have been able to do small things,” Kelvin Kaindu said.
“There is a lot to be expected we have a 2-0 advantage it has never been easy to record good results positive in North Africa, we have seen what kind of football they play they are so athletic they are strong and also physically fit but we just hope we will go to the pitch with a positive mentality because we are ready for the task,” a confident Kelvin Kaindu added.
Team captain Kelvin Moyo had this to say; ” We know what is at our stake, as the coach puts it the game is not yet over it will only be over after 90 minutes, as team captain am confident we will deliver to the fans because they are the people who encourage us to dig deeper,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nkana inform-striker Simon Mulenga says his job as a striker is to score goals especially in crucial games like this one.
“Firstly I thank God for accommodating me this chance to play, as a striker am ready to play because my job is to score goals and to the fans let them remain calm because we are not going to underrate our opponents because they are a good side moreover they are playing at home,” Simon said.
A draw for Nkana will be enough for the Kitwe based outfit to progress to the group stages of the competition.
