Three MTN Super League clubs have made contact with Zambian forward Emmanuel Mwiinde for a possible sensational return to the local scene, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
Mwiinde is currently on the books of South Africa PSL side Marumo Gallants FC, a club he joined in January as a free agent.
Prior to joining Gallants, Mwiinde was on the books of Oman Football Club side , Al Salam SC which competes in the Omantel First Division League which is the second-highest Association football league in Oman.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that a Copperbelt based club is leading the race to sign the former Zambia U20 national team forward.
Talks are currently underway between the three clubs and Mwiinde’s camp to try and work out a deal.
Mwiinde had a short unsuccessful stint at Young Zanaco in 2016 before moving to Chindwin Centries and later on Young Buffaloes where he had a successful spell helping them eliminate Zanaco and senior Green Buffaloes to reach the final of the 2018 Barclays Cup (ABSA Cup).
The pacey forward was part of coach Charles Bwale’s U20 squad for the 2018 COSAFA U20 where he scored one goal for the Young Copper Bullets.
He joined Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2018 and was part of the team that won the league during the 2018/19 season.
Mwiinde scored eight League goals in 16 games in the Israeli National Youth Division.
After a fruitful season in Israel, he returned to Zambia and his first stop was at Buildcon where he spent a season before joining Nkana and reached the Group Stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Before departure for United Arab Emirates where he played for FC Hatta and Masafi he played for Sensational ZANACO in the MTN Super League.
