The Ethiopia Women’s Under-17 National Team have jetted into Ndola ahead of Saturday’s 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Zambia’s Copper Princesses.
The team touched down at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport at 12h00. The 36-member delegation was welcomed by FAZ Competitions Manager Loreen Mulomba upon arrival.
The Copper Princesses will host Ethiopia in the first leg of the third and final round of the CAF qualifiers, with a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup at stake.
Zambia thrashed DR Congo 7-0 on aggregate to set up a meeting with Ethiopia who saw off Burundi 4-2 in their tie. The Copper Princesses are looking to secure a third World Cup qualification having made it to the 2024 and 2025 editions.
