Mutapa takes over U20 Women’s team

THE Football Association of Zambia has appointed Oswald Mutapa as the Under-20 Women national team head coach.

Mutapa will be assisted by Beauty Mwamba and Charity Nthala in Zambia’s campaign in the 2016 Papua New Guinea FIFA Under-20 Women World Cup qualifying series.

Mutapa has since summoned 30 players most of them who competed at the U17 World Cup to prepare for a game against Tanzania to be played away on July 11 with the return match a fortnight later.

The Women’s U20 side has since started training at OYDC.

Mutapa was previously U20 national soccer team coach before he was replaced by Hector Chilmbo.

He also had a stint at Red Arrows last year were he was relieved of his duties after a poor showing by the Zambia Airforce side in the league.

  2. There we go its now Osward to finish the Junior Shepolopolo. This guy failed at Red Arrows and Nkwazi what difference is he going to make. Anyway let’s wait and see.

    • I hope Edgar Lungu can speed up the dual citizenship process in parliament so we can send someone to go and talk this boy into playing for Zambia because currently our crop of players are taking us to the bottom of the drum.

  4. why would charly musonda come and play for Zambia, they can’t even win against Namibia, is better he stays and play for European team. Zambia is useless team, they need to fire kalusha and hire new coach now
