Nkana and Zambia striker Reynold Kampamba has signed a longterm deal with PSL side Platinum Stars.
The 20-year-old traveled to South Africa on Wednesday with a Nkana club official to agree terms.
Sources familiar with the development have stated that Kampamba has signed a three year deal in what is believed to be a US$70,000 transfer.
Platinum Stars will be Kampamba’s his first foreign stint after four years at Nkana.
Meanwhile, Nkana club secretary Ken Mwansa who had travelled with Kampamba to South Africa was unreachable for comment while the strikers’ mobile phone went unanswered.
Kampamba was Zambia’s top scorer in the 2012 and 2013 season scoring 16 and 18 goals respectively.
He finished the 2014 season on 22 goals; 14 in the league, five in Africa, one in Cup competition and two on international duty with Zambia.
Kampamba’s 18 goals last season propelled Nkana to an unprecedented 12th FAZ Super Division title and their first since 2002.
Kabila?
He could have easily reached 30 goals had it not been for the injuries that plagued him this season and he never took a penalty this season if am not mistaken, I hope Robert Ng’ambi ‘ll still be at Platinum Stars come January so that he can help him settle down.
