Nkana forward Ronald Kampamba has reportedly signed for Premier Soccer League side Platinum Stars.
The Chipolopolo striker is in South Africa with Nkana secretary Ken Mwansa ahead of his move to the PSL.
The 2013 golden boot left the country earlier this week and now he is believed to have signed a 3 year deal at Platinum Stars.
‘Sate Sate’ scored 12 goals for the Wusakile side and is expected to lead the line for Zambia at the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
While he has been one of the hottest properties on the local scene, this will be his first professional deal abroad after trials in Switzerland, Israel and also South Africa with Supersport.

Awe naimwe ha!
I’m dissipated with this boy he should have gone to Israel. What a useless move to platinum stars.
John be His agent and take him there.he went to Is real nothing happened last time if platinum stars offers chance for the boy to and extend his career so let it be
Good move Reynald more exposure in SA get game time and Goals I see you in Europe soon
PS Do break ntontofos 25 goal record
Then teams in France and Israel that wanted him are division 2 teams..olo nikufuna Europe nikisi let him play ku Platinum stars. Its an ok move.
The jealous South Africans will destroy his talent as they have done to a lot of our players. Useless people.
platinum stars is not a big team having big stars like chiefs or sondowns. am sure he wI’ll get good game time.
I am one person who has been firm on the movement of our players and my emphasis is that for Zambian football to reach its highest point we need to export our players to Europe, not South Africa, DR Congo or others in Africa. There is nothing wrong for a player to be signed by a second division club in Europe, its an opportunity to play in competitive leagues. We seriously need to help our players and advise them correctly.
noooooooooooooooo south Africa is not a good destination I agree with Mr slu why BA NKANA misleading the boy, he should have waited for the AFCON to finish or could have gone to Europe. Also the three years is too long, should have signed for one year. Why rushing to sign for a club in south Africa.Look at EVANS kangwa he opted to go to Israel than Orlando pirates why should sate sate do the same, i wonder if most of our Zambian players have a dream of playing in Europe.
Just as I would like the boy to go to Europe no scoutsare asking about his sservices except Israel.with due respect to the Israeli league which Zambian player played in Israel ever excelled?. Apart from muyuka who is also struggling. Let the boy go you don’t know what SA has for him.the other issue is that we don’t have good agents for southern African football period to expose our players
If the player is that good I believe one can come from this same Zambian league straight to Europe like Jacob mulenga.so when the opportunity knocks let him go after all he had stint with Europe before which never materialized
Its not a stint if it never materialised. Jacob went to play in France ligue2 with Chartoureaux and waited for his opportunity to come which can’t be said to be the same with playing in Isreal division two. Granted i wouldn’t want him to go to South Africa, it is better there than at Nkana whose exposure comes only during continental games and some times the weird executive stops games from being shown on TV! Let him try his game somewhere else and the closer to home for starters the better. Ngati ayewa nsima he can always trek home its near. LOl
I’m heavily disappointed. Why the rush?
Please do not overrate sate- sate, let him get exposed in south africa if he proves to be good, no one will spot him to move further. We hard players like Mbesuma, Katongo,Chamanga, Gift Kampamba etc. They all started from there and they proved to be good players.
The boy hasn’t rushed mwe bantu! In-fact this player has been so patient. He has been waiting since 2012. Let him try in other leagues too. SA isnt as bad as you claim. We’ve had players like Mbesuma who went to Europe thru SA. Who know Sate Sate might just work hard and impress the European clubs.
it’s not such a bad move, Sunzu is in Europe ryt now but we’re hearing of him attracting interest from China instead of him being scouted by some good European clubs, so what do you make of that? If there’s a serious club that was interested in him then they should have come forward and put up an offer period.
platinum stars is not a big team having big stars like chiefs or sondowns. am sure he wI’ll get good game time.

This is probably the BIGGEST football swindle of 2014! This Sate Sate boy is an over-hyped, over-rated player to have graced the Zambian league in the recent past. Those Boers will be disappointed. They will send him back quicker than he went. He will fail in that amateurish SA league just like he failed in Israel and Switzerland. He actually doesnt deserve a place even on the bench of the National team. The reason he has modestly done well in the ZPL, is just the Jerabo ichimwela that pushed him try more. In SA he will cry!! He cant dribble, his ball control is wacky, he has no pace and his physical stature cant help. He seems easily intimidated by an imposing physical player.Thats why Nyambe, Billy Mutale and athaz of that stature have had an easy day handling him! His goals are mostly against week teams and most of them tap ins! He is useless!!!
Iwe ci Reuben, thats jelous at its GREATEST. Sate Sate scores goals bcoz he knws how to position himself as a striker and has speed. If u have never seen Sate Sate dribbling its not our falt and maybe u want a striker to be dribbling like Chisamba. Why does he score alot of goals if they are all tap ins. HAVE a LIFE wemwaume we. With that Jelous u can kill. I can only spare u if u r a Ghanaian. Because Ghana at AFCON is our daily bread. But if u a Zambian talking to a Zambian like that, who we all believe that he is a very good striker we have as at now in Zambia, then i dnt knw. Insults reserved in fear of being blocked by Zamfoot coz i have bn blocked bfore………………….
Sate Sate deserves a chance to prove himself and Platinum stars have just done that by giving him an opportunity, what remains now for us to wait and see what he can do.
I think the PLS is better than the ZPL due to the following:
Their league is professional run
Most of the clubs have better qualified coaches than our amateurs
Most clubs have better facilities than our potholed grounds
Most of their clubs have better sponsorships than our clubs, hence incentives for the players are 100 better than here.
So if there are no offers from Europe, where and for which club should he go and play? Remember his trials in Switzerland,Israel and South Africa were not successful.
Let the boy go and develop his skills.
