Mahrez, five others to miss Thursday’s clash

Zambia’s opponents in Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Algeria are expected to be without six players including Manchester City star Riyadh Mahrez.

According to Algerian sources monitored by the ZamFoot Crew, Mahrez, Said Benrahma, Ramy Bensebaini, Ismael Bennacer, Sofiane Feghouli & Aissa Mandi will not travel to Zambia for this Thursday’s AFCON 2021 qualifier but no specific reason has been given yet.

However, five players in Rais M’Bolhi, Azzedine Doukha, Mehdi Tahrat, Mehdi Abeid, and Hillal Soudani are already in Zambia as they flew directly to Lusaka.

The match against Algeria will be played on Thursday at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka at 21:00hours.

Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s side will wrap up the qualifiers with an away fixture against Zimbabwe on Monday next week.

  1. Don’t be fooled fellow Zambians. They are now playing psychological game on you. Don’t fall for it. Remember Ghana also lied in the world qualifications years back… That Asamoa Gian was not going to play coz of injury but he played. Don’t be fooled.

  2. Don’t be fooled fellow Zambians. Don’t let them play you a psychological game. Whether there are there or not there we’ll play them and win.
