Madrid CFF have reportedly turned down €400,000 (approximately K11.4 Million Kwacha) offer for Zambia Women’s National Team striker Rachel Kundananji.
Spanish Media outlet Marca reports that Kundananji is on the agenda of several NWSL teams (The top tier Women’s Football League in the United States of America).
According to Marca one of the team’s launched a formal offer of 400,000 euros to acquire the striker’s services, but the club has since turned it down.
The Zambian international is valued at around 700,000 (Approximately 20 Million Kwacha) by the club
Kundananji arrived in the capital of Spain in the summer of 2022 from Eibar after Madrid CFF paid the footballer’s release clause once Eibar was relegated to the Second Division (First RFEF) -with one more year left on her contract.
Last season the Chililabombwe native scored 25 goals in 29 appearances for Madrid CFF.
The Zambian was the second top scorer of the championship, only two goals behind Pichichi Alba Redondo, from Levante.
During the Current season the 23 year old has eight goals and two assists in 13 games, making her the third top scorer in the F League (behind the 11 of Sheila Guijarro, of Atlético de Madrid, and the 10 of Caroline Graham Hansen, of Barcelona).
Three weeks ago Kundananji won the 2023 GOAL50 Women’s Award ahead of FC Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala and Linda Caicedo of Real Madrid Feminina.
Kundananji was also named as the revelation (breakthrough player) of the season at the MARCA Women’s Sports Awards and also won the Estrella Damm Best Goal award at the 3rd edition of Mundo Deportivo’s European Women’s Football awards.
