Former Chipolopolo Boys coach Honour Janza has taken a swipe at the national team coach Micho.
Janza, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Napsa Stars has said he worried about the fortunes of the Chipolopolo Boys.
The Dutch trained spoke to the Zambia Daily Mail to air his views ahead of the back to back Cameroon 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria and Zimbabwe next week.
“So for me as a Zambian coach and administrator, it gives me a lot of worries and questions, it’s like we don’t know what we are doing,” Janza has been quoted by the Zambia Daily Mail
Janza, who is also a former FAZ Technical Director said the Chipolopolo Boys need God’s intervention to qualify to AFCON.
“I can’t say we can’t qualify because it is my country, all I can say is am hoping but the hope is not from the reality of football management, it’s from God,” he said
The AFCON winner had a spell in charge of the national team between 2014 and 2015, and qualified the team to the 2015 AFCON edition, the last time the 2012 African Champions made it Africa’s biggest football showpiece. The team bowed out in the first round.
After a poor run of results in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers, Janza was fired at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport barely 24 hours after beating Ethiopia 1-0 in a friendly.
I don’t think we will qualify either, but we can use the two matches to prepare for world cup qualifiers
Like he knew what he was doing when he was the Coach. Easy to criticise from outside.
What did you achieve as a Coach for the National Team.
He is the last coach to have qualified zambia to the afcon
