The ZamFoot crew understands that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) was keen to give Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević’s charges a ‘test match’ after the Chipolopolo’s unconvincing outing at the CHAN tournament which was supposed to give the technical team a platform for preparations.
“Sierra Leone will make a stopover in Lusaka en-route to Lesotho where they will face that country in Group L of the AFCON qualifier match on 27 March,” a FAZ statement to ZamFoot read.
Micho is not is expected to have a full strength squad for the friendly match as some of his charges will only be arriving on the day of the match.
Ghampani Lungu and Nathan Sinkala play their final games before the international break on Friday, while Cyril Chibwe, Salulani Phiri and Justine Shonga have their games on Saturday and are all likely to make it for the friendly.
The Tanzania based players Clatous Chama and Rally Bwalya will be available for selection.
Augustine Mulenga and the DR Congo base duo of Kabaso Chongo and Tandi Mwape have their games on Sunday 21st March and will not make it for the match.
The friendly match will be played at the National Heroes stadium and will kick off at 21h00.
Zambia plays two must win Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria on Thursday 25th March and Zimbabwe on 29th March.

The problem with our players is that they want to make a name of theirs. improve passes even at the scoring point. See who is in the position to score
